We collect minimal information to make Friendship Quizzes work. This includes: your first name (entered when creating a quiz), the quiz questions and answers you set, and the scores and names submitted by quiz participants. We do not require an email address, phone number, or any account registration to use Friendship Quizzes.
We also automatically collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and performance purposes. This data is not linked to individual user profiles.
2. How We Use Your Information
Information you provide is used solely to generate and display your personalised quiz and its results scoreboard. We do not use your data for unsolicited marketing, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the quiz service. Quiz data is stored only for as long as your quiz exists on our platform.
3. Cookies
We use a session cookie to identify you as a quiz creator so you can view and manage your scoreboard. This cookie does not track you across other websites. We also use third-party cookies from Google AdSense (advertising) and Google Analytics (anonymous usage statistics). By using Friendship Quizzes, you consent to the use of these cookies. You can manage or disable cookies at any time through your browser settings — note that disabling cookies may affect your ability to manage your quiz.
4. Third-Party Services
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements, which helps us keep Friendship Quizzes free. Google may use cookies and collect anonymised data through these ads in accordance with their own privacy policy. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use our platform — all data collected is anonymised. We are not responsible for the data practices of these third-party services. 5. Data Retention and Deletion
Quiz data (questions, answers, and participant scores) is stored on our servers for as long as the quiz is active. You may delete your quiz at any time by opening your quiz link in the same browser you used to create it and clicking the Delete option. Upon deletion, all associated participant data is permanently removed from our servers.
To request permanent deletion of all data associated with your account or activity, email us at hello@friendshipquizzes.link with the subject "Data Deletion Request". We will process your request within 7 business days.
6. Your GDPR Rights
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR): the right to access your personal data; the right to correct inaccurate data; the right to erasure (the "right to be forgotten"); the right to restrict processing; the right to data portability; and the right to withdraw consent at any time. 7. Children's Privacy
Friendship Quizzes is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has submitted personal data on our platform, please contact us immediately at hello@friendshipquizzes.link and we will delete that information promptly.
8. Data Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect the data stored on our servers, including secure HTTPS connections and regular security reviews. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure. We encourage you not to submit highly sensitive personal information through the quiz platform.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised date. Continued use of Friendship Quizzes after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
